Before deciding to refocus on book production and downplay my marketing experience, I was a member of the Sacramento Valley chapter of American Marketing Association, and was on the 2001-2002 board as secretary.

I have tutored with the Sacramento Public Library’s Literacy Service, a program that helps adults learn to read, and have worked with nonprofit arts organizations through Business Volunteers for the Arts.
